With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, construction works of rural road have been implemented in Tawpon Village in Shwegu Township of Kachin State since the second week of September this year and now, the projects were completed 20 percent, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.
Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development and members of village development committee inspected the construction works of rural road this morning and gave necessary instructions to responsible persons from the construction company.
The rural road measuring one mile and four furlongs in length, 24 ft. in width and two ft. in volume is being constructed by a tender wining company with K 226.93 million of the State Government in 2024-2025 FY.
Once completed, it will benefit 651 acres of farmland of 320 local people in the village, according to the Township Department of Rural Development.—Ye Win Naing
