Officials from the Township Rural Development Department inspected a rural road construction project in Htondaung Village, Thayet Township, funded by the Union budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.

Led by Staff Officer U Yu Naing Lin, the team—joined by Village Road Construction Committee members and company representatives—urged workers to follow construction standards and complete the project on schedule.

The gravel road, built by a tender-winning company, will span one mile and four furlongs, be 12 feet wide, one foot high, and include two slab culverts. The project, which began in late June with a budget of Ks. 136.9 million, is currently 15% complete. Once finished, it will improve timely transport of local products to market.— Soe Lwin
