It is necessary to successfully carry out military operations, security measures, and territorial administration within the Military Command area.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pointed out that beyond security and defence matters, reg­iments and units in each area must also strive, within their ca­pacity, to contribute to regional development and to the socioec­onomic well-being of local com­munities.

 

Chairman of the State Secu­rity and Peace Commission, Com­mander-in-Chief of Defence Ser­vices, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by senior Tatmadaw officers from the Of­fice of the Commander-in-Chief, said so on his inspection tour of general staff, adjutant and quar­termaster measures taken by the South-East Command Headquar­ters yesterday morning.

In his speech, the Senior General said that it is necessary to successfully carry out military operations, security measures, and territorial administration within the Military Command area. With regard to regional and national security, continu­ous attention and priority must be maintained. All necessary security measures must be tak­en consistently. Major strategic routes within the Military Com­mand area must be kept safe and smooth for travel and use. Efforts must also continue to eradicate online financial fraud and online gambling, taking these tasks as a national responsibility.

 

He continued that all military units and Tatmadaw members in the Military Command area must uphold and protect the honour of their respective units and or­ganizations with strong military discipline. They must maintain proper order and discipline, and ensure their units possess full combat readiness and capability through continuous training and supervision. Training activities must be carried out correctly within each regiment and unit to strengthen defence capability. Each Tatmadaw member must also be encouraged to develop the determination and courage required to enter combat. In ad­dition, necessary measures must be taken to help ensure the suc­cess of the upcoming multipar­ty democratic general election. Beyond security and defence matters, regiments and units in each area must also strive, within their capacity, to contribute to regional development and to the socioeconomic well-being of local communities.

 

At the local Tatmadaw hos­pital in Mawlamyine Station, the Senior General warmly comfort­ed Tatmadaw members receiv­ing medical treatment for their injuries sustained in serving the defence and security duties of the State, asked about healing of their injuries and fulfilled the needs.
