Pyu, 7 August

A ceremony to honor outstanding matriculation students and elite students recognized by the government for excellence in both academics and sports was held at the Centenary Hall of B.E.H.S No. 1 in Pyu Township, Taungoo District, Bago Region, for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event began at 9:00 a.m. today.

The ceremony opened with a performance of the Myanmar school song by Grade-10 students. This was followed by an opening speech from U Kyaw Swar Win, the Township Education Officer. The headmistress of the school, Daw Khin Myo Phyu, then presented an overview of the school’s educational progress and activities.

Awards were presented to one student who achieved three distinctions, one student with two distinctions, and six students who earned one distinction each. In addition, a Grade 9 student who received the Central-Level Lu Yee Chun Award (all-around outstanding student) was also honored. Teachers who guided and supported these students in their academic success were likewise recognized with medals and prizes.

The awards were presented by the Township Education Officer, the Headmistress, members of the School Board of Trustees, and officials from the Parents-Teachers Association.— Nay Myo Lwin (IPRD)
