A three-day 2025 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair is scheduled to take place on 5 to 7 December 2025 at the Yangon Convention Centre (YCC), Inya Lake Hotel, attracting about 100 garment exhibitors from China and Myanmar, according to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA).

Under the support of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, MGMA and the Chinese Textile & Garment Association in Myanmar (CTGA) jointly hosted this fair.

The 2025 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair will feature clothing, fabrics, and textile machinery from textile manufacturers in China. The event will help promote Made-in-Myanmar products of small and medium manufacturing enterprises of Myanmar.

Furthermore, panel discussions on garment sectoral development will be held with experts from the ASEAN Federation of Textiles (AFTEX). Performances, China-ASEAN traditional costume shows, competitions, the CMP, and a local brand’s fashion show will also be featured. Additionally, there will be an Exhibitors’ Business Matching and Garment-Related Industries event.

“Advanced machinery, latest advances in garment manufacturing, connection with trade partner countries and improvement of manufacturing productivity play a key role in gaining a competitive edge with Made-in-Myanmar products in the international market. MGMA has been endeavouring to explore new markets for Myanmar’s products. Participating in trade fairs and Business to Business matchings also helps boost Myanmar’s garment production capacity among global buyers. The objectives of the trade fair are to raise awareness of the latest technology for Myanmar’s garment manufacturers and create opportunities to build business relations with international companies by actively participating in this. I hope this fair will assist Myanmar’s garment sector in taking further steps,” MGMA Chair U Myint Soe said. — ASH/KK
