ACCORDING to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Asso­ciation (MGMA), more than 150 booths from Myanmar, China, Hong Kong SAR, Korea and ASEAN countries were show­cased at the 2025 Myanmar International Textile and Ma­chinery Fair.

 

The fair was held from 5 to 7 December at the Yangon Convention Centre, Inya Lake Hotel, Mayangon Township, Yangon Region, with the aim of promoting small and medi­um-sized garment enterprises and facilitating their connec­tion to international markets.

 

The event was jointly or­ganized by the Myanmar Gar­ment Manufacturers Associa­tion (MGMA) and the Chinese Textile & Garment Association (CTGA), with the support of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, China.

 

More than 110 booths from over 70 Chinese companies and around 40 booths from Myanmar took part in the fair, bringing the total to over 150 booths. Textile and machinery products from member facto­ries of MGMA, as well as from Korea (KOGAM), Hong Kong (HKMMA) and ASEAN coun­tries, were exhibited.

 

Alongside the main fair, an electrical goods exhibition, a car show, and a Thai product fair were also held from 5 to 7 December, running daily from 9 am to 5 pm for three consec­utive days. — ASH/KNN
