MORE than 20 workers who will go to Laos through licensed overseas employment agencies have been allowed to attend an overseas job training course and apply for Overseas Worker Identification Card (OWIC), announced the Department of Labour.
The department released the list of workers on 26 September.
The workers will have to attend the training course on 2 October and apply the OWIC on 3 October. They will have to resubmit if they are unable to follow the prescribed schedule.
The agencies will have to prepare and immediately resubmit a list of workers to be sent, the date of dispatch within one week from the date of departure, passport copy, OWIC copy and Excel soft copy to the Department of Labour at dolmigrationsingaporeother@gmail.com. — MT/ZS
