FRONTLINE Tatmadaw members who reclaimed towns and villages in Taungkham, Nawnghkio, Kyaukme, Hsipaw, and surrounding areas from armed terrorist groups, including PDF-affiliated factions, were warmly welcomed by North-East Command Commander Brig-Gen Aye Min Oo, officials, Tatmadaw members, family members, and residents at a local military unit in Manli village, Hsipaw Township on 5 November.
Troops were honoured for restoring security, stabilizing local administration, and supporting socioeconomic development. Celebrations included flower tributes, traditional Shan dance and music performances, and cultural presentations by local groups such as traditional Shan dance troupes and Myanmar traditional ensembles. — MNA/KZL
