THE Yangon Region Government has announced that the MSME Products Thadingyut Market Fair and Music Festival will be held from 4 to 7 October at the People’s Square in Dagon Township, Yangon Region.

The festival is being held to promote local MSME products, support the export of high-quality goods, and facilitate the exchange of technology and market knowledge by bringing together MSME and other products in one place.

“During the festival, more than 400 stalls will sell products from industrial zones, MSME businesses, the Small Scale Industries Department, the Cooperative Department, as well as industrial, regional, and state products, along with food stalls and restaurants in Yangon Region,” said U Aung Kyaw Soe, Assistant Director of the Yangon Region Government Office.

During the festival, the Shwedagon Pagoda will be illuminated with colourful lights, and flower beds in various styles from eight townships will be arranged for visitors to enjoy and take photos as families, groups, or individuals.

In addition, during the festival, there will be e-sports competitions, food donations, and performances by well-known artistes from the film, theatrical, and music industries, as well as shows by circus performers, magicians, DJs, and dancers. Shuttle buses will be provided to facilitate transportation for festival-goers. — ASH/TH
