Pilgrims visit significant places in Minbu during the New Year holidays

Pilgrims from across the country visited places of interest in Minbu town, Magway Region during the New Year holidays.

“We vacated some places for pilgrims who stayed at the pagoda overnight during the New Year holidays. Moreover, sunblocks and concrete roads have been upgraded along the Nagaryon Pagoda Road. We invited pilgrims to visit our significant pagoda in Minbu Township,” said U Zaw Thein, the chairman of the pagoda’s board of trustees.

“I am from a Yangon charity team. We climbed Mount Victoria also known as Nat Ma Taung after making a donation for children in Mindat Town, Chin State. We also made donations to schools for orphans and monasteries. The donations for those schools which we could not reach in Mindat Town were provided through the other monasteries. Our team includes 47 people. We will visit the famous pagodas and the Bogyoke Museum in Natmauk Township during the New Year holidays,” said.—Kyaw Soe Win (Minbu)
