The final matches of the Taninthayi regional government’s trophy under-25 men and women’s badminton championship took place at a badminton court in Kawthoung yesterday in conjunction with prize awarding ceremony.
Male and female badminton players under 25 years of age representing Dawei, Myeik and Kawthoung Districts participated in the event. The badminton team representing Myeik District beat the badminton squad representing Kawthoung District in the men’s final match. In the women’s final game, Myeik District team defeat Dawei District team.
Deputy Commissioner U Nay Oo, Director of the Sports and Physical Education Department U Soe Moe Naing and concerned officials presented awards, cash and trophies to prize winning teams.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
