Paung, 25 September
The Department of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary in Paung Township, Mon State, carried out a rabies vaccination campaign this morning in selected wards and villages across the township.
As part of the campaign, Dr. Kyaw Ye Aung from the township’s Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department administered rabies vaccines to 150 dogs to help prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
Rabies is a life-threatening viral disease that can be transmitted through the bites of infected animals, including dogs, cats, snakes, jackals, and foxes. Vaccination remains one of the most effective methods for preventing rabies in both animals and humans.— Mon Malay (IPRD)
