A refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was officially launched yesterday at the meeting hall of the Township Fire Services Department in Kayan Township, Thanlyin District, Yangon Region.
At the opening ceremony, U Aung Ye, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, delivered a speech highlighting the objectives of the course. He emphasized that the training aims to strengthen fire prevention and disaster preparedness efforts, while equipping auxiliary firefighters with the skills necessary for systematic firefighting and search and rescue operations during emergencies.
Following the address, the Chairman and township officials presented uniforms to the participating auxiliary firefighters.
The 26-day training program, which runs from September 1 to 26, is being attended by 50 trainees. Five professional firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department will provide both theoretical instruction and practical training in fire safety, emergency response, and rescue techniques.— Township IPRD
