A refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was officially launched this morning by the Htantabin Township Fire Services Department in Yangon Region. The one-month course aims to enhance the basic firefighting and search and rescue skills of auxiliary firefighters.
At the opening ceremony, U Naing Naing Oo, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, delivered the opening remarks. Following his speech, U Naing Naing Oo and Major Phyo Wai Soe, a fellow committee member, presented uniforms to the participating auxiliary firefighters.
The course was initiated as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration in disaster prevention, fire safety, and emergency response. Led by U Moe Min Aung, Chief of the Township Fire Services Department, the training is conducted by five instructors and will benefit 50 auxiliary firefighters drawn from various wards and village tracts within the township.— Zin Min Htike (Htantabin)
