Officials from the Township Disaster Management Department, under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, visited homes damaged by strong winds in Thein Kone Ward and Sein Taung Ward yesterday to provide emergency relief supplies.

Personnel from the Mudon Township Disaster Management Department, together with village administrators, delivered a total of 3.76 million kyats in aid to affected communities. The assistance included: 1.9 million kyats in building materials for three completely and 38 partially damaged houses, 88,500 kyats worth of rice rations for 177 people, 100,000 kyats in materials for a partially damaged monastery and a nunnery school, 150,000 kyats in building materials and 6,500 kyats in rice rations for three houses and 13 people in Htonman Village, 300,000 kyats in building materials and 600,000 kyats in rice rations for three houses and 12 people, respectively, and six boxes containing 16 types of relief items.— Ya Ma Nya
