BAGO Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited a demonstration of voting using MEVM machines in Bago Township yesterday morning.

The Chief Minister first observed the second announcement of the voter list at the Myothit Ward Administrative Office in Bago and attended a demonstration of voting using the MEVM machine, before participating in a coordination meeting at the Regional Government Office to ensure the successful holding of the 2025 multiparty democratic general election, instructing officials to include all eligible voters on the list in each township or locality and to conduct field inspections at every polling station.

He then inspected the construction site of a 500-foot production road and water pipeline in Kamanat Village, Bago Township, and instructed those responsible to take action as soon as possible before the planting season, noting that production roads are essential for quickly and easily transporting crops to the market.

Afterwards, a field inspection was conducted for the construction of a 2,200-foot-long concrete road in Kamanat Village.

The Chief Minister inspected the upgrading of a five-furlong-long village road to concrete in Shwetan Village, Bago Township, urged villagers to maintain the roads and plant shade trees at the entrances, and met with local farmers and officials to coordinate the expansion of Pawsan rice cultivation for foreign markets. — MNA/TH
