SAC members oversee healthcare measures, development process in Kachin, Kayah, Shan, Rakhine

As the whole country is accelerating the devel­opment process in all re­gions and states to improve the socioeconomic life of the people, members of the State Adminis­tration Council are on trips to oversee construction tasks and healthcare services in relevant areas.

 

Putao in Kachin State

SAC member Daw Dwe Bu together with Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan en­joyed the Tai Khamti Literature and Culture Committee Chair­man’s Trophy men’s open foot­ball tournament at the people’s sports ground in Putao of Kachin State on 17 September. The SAC member presented the cham­pionship trophy and the chief minister gave away individual medals to the first prize-winning Panhlaing ward.

 

Loikaw in Kayah State

Kayah State Human papil­lomavirus-HPV vaccination cer­emony for girls between ages 9 and 12 took place at the state hall in Loikaw yesterday morn­ing, with the attendance of SAC member Porel Aung Thein and Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin. The SAC member visited the exhibition on school health measures displayed by the Kayah State Public Health Department and vaccination of HPV to school girls. He inspect­ed the paving of the asphalt con­crete on road sections in Loikaw.

 

Thandwe, Gwa in Rakhine State

SAC member Dr Ba Shwe looked into development tasks in Thandwe District and met resi­dents to talk about the develop­ment of Gwa Township yesterday morning. At Thandwe Basic Ed­ucation High School (Myoma), he viewed vaccination of HPV to school girls. He then comforted patients at Kyeintali People’s Hospital and viewed a thriving monsoon paddy seed produc­tion farm in Gwa Township. After inspecting the maintenance of the Gwa Creek Bridge, the SAC member met departmental offi­cials and town elders at the Gwa Township General Administra­tion Department and explained the endeavours of the govern­ment for education promotion programmes for the youths.

 

Kengtung, Tachilek in Shan State

SAC members U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw viewed round thriving tea plantations in Wamseng of Kengtung Town­ship on 17 September. They also inspected the two-storey RC Kengtung Saopha Palace which has been completed by 74 per cent and beautification tasks at Naungton Lake. They also visited the Kengtung Buddha Park. In Tachilek, they asked af­ter health of Presiding Patron of Naga Htakaung Buddhist Learn­ing Centre of Tachilek State Ovadacariya Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Man­galadhamma Jotikadhaja Naga Hnakaung Sayadaw Bhaddanta Dhammasiri and donated offer­ings.
