Shwedaung, 10 September

The Department of Social Welfare has begun disbursing social pensions to elderly citizens in Shwedaung Township, Bago Region, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. The payments are being made through the Myanmar Economic Bank from 8 to 19 September.

The pension is provided to senior citizens aged 85 and above, covering the period from April to September. A total of 892 elderly individuals from three wards and 48 village tracts in Shwedaung Township have received the pension.

Each eligible beneficiary receives Ks 10,000 per month under this program.—Ko Ko Min (IPRD)
