The closing ceremony of the Taunggyi Tazaungdine Hot-Air Balloon Festival took place on the evening of 17 November at Awayar Balloon Field in Taunggyi.
Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, Eastern Command Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt, along with departmental officials, cultural dance troupes, locals, and travellers, attended the event.
The ceremony began with performances by cultural dance troupes, followed by the hot-air balloon competitions.
The Shan State chief minister then declared the 2024 Taunggyi Tazaungdine Hot-air Balloon Festival officially closed, which was marked by fireworks, the release of lanterns, and traditional dances performed to the prize-winning songs of the festival. — MNA/ TRKM
