A meeting between the Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC) and local political parties and civil societies was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Khamti, Sagaing Region this morning.

Signatories to the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement and the Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee, which has been formed with representatives from political parties, held an unofficial meeting in Yangon yesterday, with both sides resolving to deal with the bottlenecks to the stalled official peace talks.

Representatives from the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO), Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and Arakan Army (AA) arrived in Muse, Northern Shan State this morning to hold talks with their counterparts from the Peace Commission.

The National Reconciliation and Peace Centre (NRPC) and a delegation from the Kachin Humanitarian Concern Committee (KHCC), led by its chairperson, held a meeting at the NRPC building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
