ASvarious  ethnics  residing  in  Myan-mar  hold  respec-tive festivals in ac-cordance with their traditions yearly, new harvest feasts are significant ones among them. At a time when harvesting of their crops, especially paddy are carried out, new harvest feasts  take  place  in  their  regions.
To end human-elephant conflict, protect forests
With their habitats disappearing due to the depleting natural forest cover, wild elephants have begun frequenting villages and damaging crops in some areas. In the incidents, the wild elephants entered villages, looking for food. In some incidents, some villagers were killed by wild elephants.
Elevate food production and food safety standards
Food is a more basic need of man than shelter and clothing. It provides adequate nutrients for the body’s growth, maintenance, repair and reproduction.
