Flood victims evacuated to rescue camps as Zami River surpasses its danger mark

A new rescue camp has been set up in Kyainn-Seikkyi Township, Kayin State as some wards and villages were submerged by floodwaters after the water level of Zami River exceeded about one foot above 35 ft. of its danger level.

Some wards and villages in Yebyu Township, Taninthayi River were inundated by floodwaters from the Dawei River as a consequence of incessant heavy rains since early this month.
