A vessel that plies the routes between Mingun and Mandalay in the Ayeyawady River caught fire at Mayanchan Port in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region at about 4 pm on 17 January.
A local police squad seized a pistol, homemade guns and bullets in a house raid in Thamanya Village, Hpa-an Township in Kayin State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The police annihilated about 30 acres of poppy fields in Hopong, Kunhing, Namhsan and Mongpan Townships in Shan State on 13 January, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
