THE Tazaungdine Festival and Market Fair at Yangon’s People’s Square came to a close on 16 No­vember, offering a vibrant blend of traditional ethnic dances and DJ performances for visitors’ enjoyment.

 

On the final day, artistes from the film, music and theat­rical industries, including well-known singers and DJs, per­formed entertainments starting from 9 am, attracting a large number of audiences, particu­larly young people, who joined in the singing and dancing.

 

Families, individuals, and couples took the opportunity to capture cherished memories at scenic festival spots, including the illuminated water fountain, animal statues, and multi-colour­ed lights decorating the grounds. In the evening, the festival’s final performances featured music, traditional dances, and a lantern release, creating a celebratory and joyful atmosphere.

 

Yangon Region Chief Min­ister U Soe Thein and regional ministers attended the event. To ensure convenience for attend­ees, transport arrangements were organized for their journey home. — San Kyaw Oo (IPRD)/ KZL
