THE 10th convocation ceremony of the University of Cooperatives and Management, Thanlyin, un­der the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, was held yesterday morning at the Convo­cation Hall of Yangon University in two stages. The ceremony was attended by Permanent Secre­tary U Khant Zaw of the ministry, the rector, pro-rectors, deans of faculties, officials, graduates and their parents.

 

At the ceremony, the per­manent secretary delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates and presented medals and cash prizes to the outstand­ing students who achieved the highest marks in their respective specializations for the 2024-25 ac­ademic year.

 

The second part of the cer­emony continued with the Rec­tor presenting certificates to the graduates and delivering a speech.

 

At the 10th convocation cer­emony of the University of Co­operatives and Management, Thanlyin, degrees were award­ed as follows: two Master’s de­grees in Marketing Management; one Post-graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance; and Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics awarded to 82 grad­uates in Accounting and Finance, 67 in Marketing Management, 50 in Applied Statistics, 45 in Region­al Development, and 37 in Social Enterprise Management. A total of 244 graduates received their degrees in person at the Convo­cation Hall, while 40 graduates were awarded their degrees with the virtual presence. — MNA/TH
