Japan's transport ministry says all departing flights were temporarily grounded at Tokyo's Haneda Airport due to lightning on Thursday.

Ministry officials say aircraft ground handling operations were suspended at around 3 p.m. and resumed at around 4:20 p.m.

They say 20 domestic flights had been canceled by around 4 p.m.
