Taungdwingyi 30 September

            Floods occurred in some wards and villages in Taungdwingyi Township due to torrential downpours on September 30.

            Torrential downpours hit Taungdwingyi Township starting from 1 a.m. of September 30 and water from Set Set Yo Creek and Yinmalae Creek overflowed into buildings of governmental departments and houses in wards and villages starting from 11 a.m. this morning.

Officials from Township General Administration Department are providing purified drinking water to family members in flood affected areas in the township. Similarly, officials from Township Fire Services Department and members of Township Traffic Police Unit are giving necessary assistance to the flood victims. According to the observations at 9 am on September 30, the rainfall recorded in the township was 4.09 inches.
