Myingyan, 11 July
As part of the 2025 rainy season public campaign to green the 13 districts of the dry zone, a tree-planting event was held at Myingyan University in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, at 7:00 a.m. today.
Brigadier General Phyo Wai Myint from the Central Command delivered the opening speech. Following his address, officials distributed saplings for planting.
Brigadier General Phyo Wai Myint, Chairman of the District Administration Body U Min Min Tun and members, Chairman of the Township Administration Body U Soe Htut and his staff, Rector of Myingyan University Dr. Aye Aye Han, university professors and department heads, as well as district and township level officials and students, all participated in planting the saplings.
A total of 600 saplings were planted, including 120 tamar, 120 seinpan, 120 tamarind, 120 bandar, and 120 mezli saplings.—Kyaw Swa Hein (Myingyan)
