UNION Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein received Mr Bounphieng Chanthavong, Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Myanmar, at the reception hall of the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
The two sides held open and cordial discussions on expanding areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, enhancing collaboration in student exchange programmes, and further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the education sector in the future. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative gifts.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Education U Nay Myo Hlaing, Director-General of the Department of Higher Education Dr Than Zaw Oo, and officials from the Ministry of Education. — MNA/MKKS
