UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn watched the filming processes of the Myanmar Music Association (Central) for awareness songs to promote a successful election for the 2025 multiparty democra­cy general election at MRTV in Yangon yesterday.

 

The Union minister cordial­ly greeted Association Chair U Lwin Myint and musicians. He listened and watched the group song for “Casting Vote for Fu­ture” by famous singers Ye Htike, Ko Latt, Kyi Phyu Khin, Shwe Phyu, Moh Moh Kyaw Lwin, Khin La Pyae Wunn and Pale Thant Thwe.

 

The song was composed by the association and accordion Aung Min Naing, and the music conductor was Academy Win Ko.

 

The Union minister met with the relevant officials and singers, and appreciated the efforts of the singers for participating in raising awareness of the public regarding the general election, not to lose their right to cast a vote and served them with tea.

 

At noon, the Union minis­ter met with the members of MPPA (Myanmar Printers and Publishers Association) at the Myanmar Motion Pictures Pro­motion Branch of IPRD in Bahan Township.

 

Speaking at the meeting, the Union minister highlighted the important role of printing and publishing in the media field, whereas the publishers have to distribute the things that the writers what to express to the readers. He also talked about the ease of censorship in publication, issuance of licences to 535 pub­lishers, five printing entrepre­neurs and 37 new agencies be­tween 2021 and 2025, and urged the association to participate in national tasks of the country and follow the laws in the printing and publishing sectors.

 

The Union minister then heard the report presented by the attendees and provided prop­er instructions. — MNA/KTZH
