UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received the Belarusian delegation led by Belarusian musician-cum-vocal­ist Mr Vladimir Sukolinsky and Vice-Chair of the Myanmar-Rus­sia Friendship Association Mr Alexander Ostrovsky in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

During the meeting, the Union minister said Belarus is a good friend of Myanmar, and since the two countries have a friendly and close relationship,

 

holding a musical concert like this will serve as a bridge to further strengthen the friend­ship between the peoples of both nations. He added that the performances by the troupe are being fully covered and wide­ly broadcast by MRTV news, and that the Myanmar-Rus­sia-Belarus joint musical per­formances will continue to be held in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw. Mr Alexander and Mr Vladimir expressed gratitude, highlight­ing Myanmar’s own culture and the hospitality of the Myanmar People.

 

The music band performed in Mandalay and PyinOoLwin, and the Myanmar-Russia-Bela­rus joint concerts will be in Yan­gon and Nay Pyi Taw. — MNA/ KTZH
