THE Upper Myanmar Amateur Open 2025 golf tournament concluded on 4 December at Shwe Man Taung Golf Course in Mandalay, under the guidance of the Myanmar Golf Federation and organized by the Upper Myanmar Golf Subcommittee.
The awards ceremony followed the final day of competition. Vice President of the Myanmar Golf Federation and Chairman of the Upper Myanmar Golf Subcommittee, U Tin Ko Ko, delivered opening remarks and received honorary gifts from the course director, U Htun Htun Lin. Winners of the guest competitions were presented with trophies by U Tin Win Shwe.
In the women’s amateur category, the third prize was awarded to Pyone Pyone Htwe, who scored 154 strokes, by Vice Chairman U Shwe Myint; the second prize went to Nanda Lin, with 153 strokes, presented by Vice Chairman U Htun Htun Oo; and the first prize was awarded to Khin Zani Aung, with 151 strokes, by U Tin Ko Ko.
In the men’s amateur category, third prize went to Hein Naing Zin, with 221 strokes, presented by Vice Chairman U Hla Soe Oo; the second prize to Thet Htoo Zin, also with 221 strokes, presented by Vice Chairman U Soe (Shwe Wa Taung); and the first prize to Kaung Htike Zaw, with 209 strokes, by U Tin Ko Ko.
The tournament saw a total of 288 participants — 208 men and 80 women — compete over three days, from 2 to 4 December. — Maung San Gyi/KZL
