AFTER successfully defeating the terrorist insurgents in defence of the country, one regiment and three battalions returned to their respective units for training and were warmly welcomed yesterday evening in Intine Village- Tract, Hlegu Township, Yangon Region.
At the welcoming ceremony, the victorious returning soldiers marched into their respective battalion headquarters accompanied by a military band. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and his wife, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Pyae Sone Lin and his wife, members of the regional government and their wives, officials, artistes, ethnic community members, and the public greeted them with garlands, and the chief minister presented cash awards to the victorious Tatmadaw members. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/GNLM
