THE Ministry of Information initiated a nationwide campaign for the 2025 multiparty democratic election by cooperating with the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the region and state governments.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday attended the campaign held at the Yezin Agricultural University, together with the pro-rector, department heads, faculty members and students of the Yezin Agricultural University, University of Veterinary Science and University of Forestry and Environmental Science (Yezin).

Speaking at the event, the Union minister highlighted the intention of the campaign for all eligible voters to cast their votes in the forthcoming multiparty democratic general election on 28 December. He continued that every citizen loves their nation, ward and region, and every citizen who is already 18 is responsible for casting a vote for the representatives who can develop the nation, ward and region. Voting is a part of one’s birthright as a citizen. Election is the affairs of the country rather than party politics. He then urged all the attendees to cast a vote, serving the duties of a citizen.

The Union minister and officials drew lots for 30 MRTV DTH receivers and 20 DVB-T2 set-top boxes and presented them to the winners.
