          Due to the torrential downpours triggered on September 23, water level of Sun and Sandan Dams overflowed according to the observation of 10 am on September 29.

          At Sun Dam, the water level reached 625.6 feet, exceeding its spillway level by 0.6 feet. Similarly, Sandan Dam overflowed 0.2 ft above 560.50 ft of its water level. However, the dams remain structurally stable and secure.

          As a precaution, dam surveillance teams have been deployed to monitor the rainfall and water storage conditions of dams. Arrangements are being made to alert the floods to the local residents, according to an official from the Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department.
