THE Wazira Cinema convened a coordination meeting yesterday morning in Kyauktada Township, Yangon, to discuss plans for its upgrade into an international-standard theatre.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, committee members, and representatives from the Yangon City Development Committee, Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, Myanmar Engineering Council, Myanmar Film Association, Myanmar Music Association, and Myanmar Thabin Association.

He also stressed the need for close inter-departmental coordination, with a particular focus on effective improvements to building repairs, lighting, and sound systems.
