Win Naing Tun’s late goal gives Yadanabon draw to Shan United

20 January

AT a thrilling match in the Myanmar National League 2019, two former champions of the Myanmar National League, Yadanabon FC and Shan United FC, played each other to a 2-2 draw at the Bahtoo Stadium in Mandalay yesterday.

In the previous matches, both teams earned one point as they faced the draw matches, while yesterday’s match was seen as an effort to score their full point win (3 points). Shan United led the match 2-1 at the 90 minute mark. Shan United played with their best attacking style from the kick off and gained their opener at the 10 minute mark with a goal scored by Shan’s foreign player Maycon.

But the goal was equalised by the brilliant Yandanabon attacker Win Naing Tun at the 13 minute mark, as the first half finished 1-1. With using speedy wing field plays, both teams attacked in the second half. Again, at the 54 minute mark, Shan’s star Htet Phyo Wai scored a leading goal for his team and the match was 2-1 at the 90 minute mark.

The draw match was won due to the comefrom- behind score of Yadanbon’s young star player Win Naing Tun at 90 plus minutes in the match, and the score went to 2-2.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
