A ceremony to honour the off­spring of service personnel from the Ministry of National Plan­ning who passed the matricu­lation examination in the 2024- 25 academic year, outstanding award-winning students and out­standing staff in training courses took place in conjunction with the stipend-providing ceremony for 2025-26 AY at the hall of the min­istry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

 

In his speech, Prime Min­ister U Nyo Saw said that as today’s youth will shoulder the State duties in the future, it is important for them to acquire a broader scope of knowledge and achieve mental and intellectual development.

 

He continued that he hon­oured the staff who secured out­standing awards in the trainees conducted by the State. A devel­oped country must be built on the strength of outstanding youth. Hence, youth need to strive for the development of the digital economic building of the State through their experiences and knowledge based on research.

 

He urged all to analyze fake news and misinformation through their wisdom, knowledge and experiences, not to fade out Myanmar’s traditional culture and customs, as social networks and media are booming day by day. Moreover, the Prime Minis­ter stressed that youth have to avoid narcotic drugs while taking physical exercises to ensure bet­ter health and fitness.

 

The Prime Minister and his wife presented individual medals, certificates and cash awards to three five-distinction winners and four four-distinction winners in addition to six three-distinction winners.

 

The deputy minister and officials handed individual med­als, certificates and cash awards to outstanding award-winning students, the triple outstanding award-winning student and out­standing staff, respectively.

 

The Prime Minister treated the outstanding students, par­ents and staff with a tea party.
