Tachilek, 27 October

The Tachilek Township Writers Association held a ceremony on 26 October at Yan Aung Myay Sub-Basic Education School to honor a student who earned distinction in Myanmar literature in the 2024–2025 matriculation examination and the teacher who guided the student to success.

Patron U Soe Soe (Thuta Soe-Net Thit) delivered the opening speech, followed by Chairman U Hla Htay (Wai Yan Lin), who explained the purpose of the event. The outstanding student received a certificate of honor, a cash prize of K500,000, and a magazine published by the association. The teacher, Daw Thein Zar Ni Win (B.A-Myanmar, B.Ed), was also presented with K100,000, a certificate of honor, and a magazine.

This marks the second time the Tachilek Township Writers Association has recognized outstanding achievements in Myanmar literature, with the first awards presented in 2018.— Wai Yan Lin (Tachilek)
