MINISTER for Transport and Communications of the Yangon Region government U Kyaw Kyaw Soe hosted a reading ses­sion with writers, teachers, and literary enthusiasts from dis­tricts and townships yesterday afternoon at the Information and Public Relations Office in Kyauk­tada Township, Yangon.

 

At the event, Deputy Di­rector Daw Ohmar Cho of the Yangon Region Office of the In­formation and Public Relations Department explained the pur­pose of organizing the literary discussion.

 

Afterwards, Minister for Transport and Communications U Kyaw Kyaw Soe (Maung Yoe – Ngaphe) delivered a talk on his National Literature Award-win­ning book of 2024, “Longing for My Dear Ngaphe Land, Our vil­lage Our traditions-2”.

 

The minister highlighted that the book mainly focuses on “Change” and “Tradition”, ex­ploring how cherished traditional customs can stand firm amid the waves of modern transformation. He discussed how individuals can make the right choices in a world full of opportunities and challeng­es, embracing both tradition and progress in harmony. He encour­aged readers to appreciate the lovable essence of Myanmar’s traditional character while also adapting to constructive social evolution, thereby fostering the development of society through the balance between tradition and change.

 

During the session, writers, teachers, and literary enthusi­asts actively participated in an exchange of views on literature.
