THE Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA) is currently con­ducting a 36th gold technique training for free at its office lo­cated at 42/50 on Shwebontha Street, Pabedan Township, including gemstone-related subjects.

 

The training encompass­es the identification, grading, and valuation of both natu­ral and synthetic gemstones, gemstone mining areas and types of gemstones, by U Maung Maung San (Gems & Jewellery Trading Co Ltd) and U Win Tint (Summit Gem­mological Laboratory).

 

YGEA also provides an awareness course on an­ti-money laundering and combatting the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT course).

 

The respective experts will disseminate education and knowledge about gold mining, gold refining, gold trading, basic calculations to run a gold shop, goldsmith, gold mortgage, gold rate cal­culation, gold/silver coins and jewellery.

 

A total of 150 trainees, including gold shop owners, merchants, traders, gold re­finery owners and those inter­ested in gold, are attending gold training. — ASH/KK
