Zip line tower in Yangon Zoological Gardens to be launched soon

Zip line tower which is 60 feet high in Yangon zoological gardens will be launched at the end of March.

Zip line for two people, quick jump from 30 feet high and climbing wall were constructed on 11 October 2018 and construction of two towers were completed in December. Arrangements are being made to install steel cables. 

The kind of zip line tower with sitting position was launched at Sein Let Tin Resort in Kyaikto and there are four towers for two people each side. In the Yangon zoological gardens, there will be two towers and two people can ride the zip line tower each side. In addition, arrangements are being made to construct four towers for riding zip line in Hlawkar Gardens.

Only people weighing between 99 lbs and 242 lbs will be allowed to take a ride and smoking, drinking alcohol, pregnant women, people with mental illness, drug addicts, people with diabetes and chronic bone and joint diseases, people with arthritis, will be subjected to prohibition to take a ride.

The Yangon zoological gardens on a-57.752 acre which were called Queen Victoria Park were opened on 25 January 1906. In 1985, it was handed over to Forestry Department to be able to go private in 2011 with over 150 species of animals were displayed.

The garden aims at conserving of wildlife animals, educating the public, assisting students who want to make research and relaxing.
