The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Myanmar participated in the India-ASE­AN Trade Summit 2024 in Bengaluru, Karna­taka State, India, on 16 February, focusing on promoting healthcare and education cooper­ation between Myanmar, India, and ASEAN.

 

U Moe Kyaw Aung, Myanmar Ambassa­dor to India, represented Myanmar at the summit and delivered a presentation titled “India-Myanmar Relations Analysis of the Emerging Education & Helthcare System and its Role in Society”.

 

During his presentation, he highlighted the collaborative efforts between the two countries in the education and healthcare sectors, as well as the government's initi­atives aimed at enhancing socio-economic development for the citizens.

 

The participants engaged in discussions regarding the challenges and best practices in the education and health sectors, as well as explored potential avenues for mutual cooperation between Myanmar-India and ASEAN-India. — ASH/TMT
