Under the supervision of Chairman of the Township Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), government employees were given booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer) at the designated vaccination sites starting from March 4 to 6 in Taninthayi Township of Taninthayi Region.

On the occasion, healthcare workers led by Dr. New Haymar Thein from the Township Department of Public Health monitored the body temperature and blood pressure of civil servants before administering the vaccine to them, and watched them for 15 minutes after giving the vaccine.

A total of 371 government personnel were vaccinated against COVID-19. Medical workers will continue to give the vaccine to family members of civil servants, according to the Township Department of Public Health.—Nan Tharyi(IPRD)
