At the invitation of the Chair­man of the Central Election Commission from the Russian Federation, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Union Election Commission, U Ko Ko, left Mandalay by air yesterday evening to study the presiden­tial election and the Internation­al Scientific and Practical Con­ference to be held in Moscow.

The Chairman of the Union Election Commission and mem­bers were seen off at Mandalay International Airport by Manda­lay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung and regional government ministers, U Than Aung Kyaw, a member of the Union Election Commission, and officials from the Mandalay Region Election Commission branch office.

As the Union Election Commission, by studying the presidential election and attend­ing the International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Russian Federation, there will be opportunities to share expe­riences, such as Russia’s elec­tion methods and election man­agement methods. In addition to the opportunity to learn about the use of technology in the election, international election observers will have the chance to exchange views. — MNA/TS
