According to the regional government, the sericulture and silk factory will be con­structed in Kachin State.

 

The factory will be built in Myitkyina, Kachin State, and officials from Randoo (My­anmar) Silk Crop, Ltd held a business coordination meeting on 15 March to discuss the in­vestment and operation of the factory.

 

At the meeting, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan delivered that the investments that benefit the state must be implemented in accordance with laws and reg­ulations.

 

Regarding the establish­ment of a silk factory in coop­eration with the mulberry farm, Mr Lee Fain Kyung, director of Randoo (Myanmar) Silk Crop, Ltd, explained the plans to car­ry out for the establishment of the silk factory and the pro­duction of sericulture and ob­taining raw materials. Then, the discussion continued the nurturing of silkworms for the establishment of the silk factory in accordance with the proce­dures. — TWA/TKO
