The gathering of excellent stu­dents and youth development meeting took place at the Min­istry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

Union Minister for Infor­mation U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and other relevant Union ministers attended the meeting.

 

U Maung Maung Ohn an­nounced that the Head of State would meet outstanding individ­uals from across the nation at the International Convention Centre 2 in Nay Pyi Taw on 26 April. This event will feature a variety of exhibitions and enter­tainment programmes.

 

Highlighting his ministry's commitment to youth develop­ment under the guidance of the Central Committee for Youth Af­fairs, he urged other ministers to present topics that would cap­ture the interest of the youth.

 

Subsequently, Union Min­ister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe pledged to organize knowl­edge-sharing exhibitions, pro­viding visitors with insights into the country's notable landmarks all in one place.

 

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan also mentioned that his ministry would showcase the biographies of the country's re­nowned athletes, offering the youth the chance to admire them as role models.

 

Various other Union min­isters contributed ideas for the event's exhibitions. Anticipat­ed displays include historical photographs, efforts towards peace building, the unity of eth­nic nationalities, stories of for­mer outstanding students now serving as civil servants, inter­active talk forums, Myanmar's rich traditions, and initiatives for environmental conservation. — MNA/NT
