Myanmar hosted the Myan­mar-Russia Cadet Shooting Competition at 600 metres ASE­AN shooting range of Tatmadaw (Army) Officer Training School (Bahtoo) from 7 to 9 July.

 

The event was attended by Vice-Chief of Armed Forc­es Training of Command­er-in-Chief of Defence Servic­es (Army) Maj-Gen Aung Myo Thant, senior military officials, coaches, Russian delegation leader Maj Mikhail Gladyshev and cadets.

 

After the ceremonial proce­dures, the Myanmar-Russia ca­dets took positions in the range, the Vice-Chief of Armed Forces Training made remarks, and a documentary photo was taken together.

 

The cadets participated indi­vidually and in groups in 300-me­tre rifle shooting and 25-metre pistol shooting competitions for three days.

 

The awarding ceremony was held yesterday, and the of­ficials awarded the winners and concluded the event.

 

The Myanmar-Russia Cadet Shooting Competition was held with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, enhancing coop­eration between the two armed forces, bolstering the friendship between the cadets of the two countries, and exchanging shoot­ing techniques.

 

The Russian delegation also visited the Culamuni Pagoda, Bahtoo waterfall and Yaksauk Myoma market. — MNA/KTZH
