The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Infor­mation U Maung Maung Ohn visited the significant sites of Moscow, such as the Kremlin palace, ancient museums, the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Red Square, Saint Basil’s Cathedral, and religious tem­ples on 16 September during the visit to Moscow for BRICS Media Summit.

 

Moreover, the Union minis­ter met with the Centre for Pub­lic and Business Cooperation with the Republic of Myanmar and clarified the Myanmar-Rus­sia cooperation, the actual situ­ation of Myanmar, floods in My­anmar, efforts of the Head of the State and officials in conducting recuse work and rehabilitation processes, and preparations for enumeration of population and household census.

 

on 17 September, the Union minister visited the Myanmar Embassy in Moscow and met the ambassador and embas­sy staff. During the meeting, they discussed the actual sit­uation of the country, the need to weigh the fake news and the efforts of the Prime Minister in education, health, relief and rehabilitation measures, and State security.

 

At noon, the Union minis­ter informally met Mr Sergey Vladimirovich, regional head of South East Asia of Roscon­gress, at Plaza Garden and dis­cussed the Myanmar-Russia media cooperation plan.
