The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, began distributing agricultural loans for the 2025 rain-fed crop cultivation season on 20 May.

During the loan distribution event, U Aye Min Naing, Manager of the Pwintbyu Township branch of MADB, met with local farmers to explain the loan terms and repayment procedures.

Following the briefing, the bank manager and staff disbursed loans to 49 farmers from Thangaing Village Tract, covering 285 acres of farmland. Each acre received K150,000 in financial support, amounting to a total of K42.7 million.

Pwintbyu Township comprises 51 village tracts eligible for loans under the 2025 monsoon crop cultivation program. According to U Aye Min Naing, loans will be issued from May through the end of November to ensure that all eligible farmers receive the necessary support for monsoon crop production.— Hlaing Win Lay (Pwintbyu Myay)
